The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is implementing consistent and targeted measures to improve the quality of postal services provided to citizens, adapt the infrastructure to modern requirements, and increase the accessibility of services.

As part of these measures, the post office located in the village of Aza, Ordubad district, which was physically and technically unusable for operation, was suspended, and its activities were transferred to a new building in the village of Azadkend that meets modern standards. The necessary infrastructure and modern equipment have been created here. The new post office has been fully renovated, provided with communication and information and communication technologies, and a comfortable and efficient work and service environment has been formed for both employees and citizens.

During the on-site acquaintance with the newly created conditions, the importance of the work done in terms of more efficient organization of postal services, improving the quality of service, increasing citizen satisfaction, and developing social infrastructure in the regions was especially emphasized. Residents will now have the opportunity to use postal and related services in a faster, more convenient, and more modern manner.

It should be noted that this post office located in Azadkend serves not only the residents of Aza village, but also the residents of Darkend village.

We would like to inform you that the aforementioned initiative was implemented on the instructions of the Authorized Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, based on discussions and agreements with local executive authorities, including the Ordubad District Executive Authority. The project serves the socio-economic development of the regions, the organization of state services in accordance with modern standards, and the expansion of the population's access to postal and communication services.
