The limited availability of banking and financial services in remote rural areas increases the importance of postal services. In such areas, post offices play an important role in ensuring people’s access to financial services, payments, and basic means of communication. Post offices usually provide postal and financial services to the population, such as money transfers, payment of utility services and receipt of social payments.
The only national postal operator of the Republic of Azerbaijan, “Azerpost” Limited Liability Company, currently has an extensive service network throughout the republic, providing traditional and non-traditional postal services and postal and financial services to all segments of the population, as well as legal entities.
Currently, the service is provided through 35 Regional Postal Branches and more than 1,100 Post Offices of “Azerpost”.
