Important structural reforms are being carried out in the autonomous republic to improve governance in the field of digital development.

First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Bakhtiyar Mammadov signed a Decree.

According to the Decree, “Nakhchivanpocht” LLC, “Nakhchivan Telecom” LLC and “Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Radio-Television Transmission Center” public legal entity operating under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic are merged and “Nakhchivan Post and Telecommunications Center” LLC is established on their basis.

The newly established company will be the legal successor of the aforementioned organizations, their rights and obligations, as well as property, will be transferred to this organization. Until the company is registered, the existing organizations will continue their activities in the previous order, and the salary system and job functions of employees will remain unchanged.

The Decree divided the powers of the General Meeting of the Company between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. At the same time, the mechanisms for making important decisions regarding the structure of the Company, the appointment of the management board, financial activities and development directions were determined.

Specific deadlines were set for the Cabinet of Ministers and relevant ministries to bring regulatory legal acts into line with this Decree, approve the Company's charter, form the authorized capital, inventory of state property and state registration of the new entity.
